I spent hours on end scrolling through images in absolute awe of the outfits which were strutted down the runway this season.

It was an extremely difficult process sifting through the numerous images of the fashion shows and trying to choose my favourite looks to share with you guys. I find that bombarding an audience (Yes you) with too many photos can take away from the speciality of the content and leave you feeling flummoxed and in a state of image-overload!

I have been keeping up with all of the happenings during the fashion weeks this month and it just strengthens my desire to attend them some day. What a dream that would be! That’s all for today . Talk soon

IMG_2707As I mentioned in my last style post, I recently went on a family holiday to Paros island in Greece for 10 days. It was exactly like I had been imagining it. Quaint towns filled with rows of white houses decorated with beautiful blue shutters, endless little side streets just waiting to be explored and get lost in and lots of little cafes and restaurants where you can sit for hours and watch the world go by. It was a long journey from Ireland to Paros (17 hours to be precise) but absolutely worth it ! The days just merged into each other as they always do when you’re on holidays. I find that my perception of time just disappears when I go on holidays and I struggle to remember what day of the week it even is! I think this is down to my parent’s mantra of removing watches when they go on holidays. The rest of the year revolves around time so it’s nice to be able to kick back for a little while and to not have to worry about rushing to be anywhere for a certain time. Paros is such a picturesque island. Everywhere you look there is another breathtaking view to be taken in and stored in your memory so that you can recall them when your sitting at your desk on a dreary, wintery day and remember those long summer days. The next time I travel to Greece I would love to explore a few of the other islands. They are like a little world of their own. Life moves at a slow pace there and people seem to go about their daily tasks with not a worry in the world. I hope you enjoy the pictures and let me know if there are any of you who have been to Greece. I would love to know what you thought! That’s all for today. Talk soon

I recently went on a family vacation to Paros island in Greece for 10 days. I had such an amazing time there and I feel so relaxed since coming home. My next post will be a photo diary of the island so that I can share my experience with you guys. Prepare yourselves for lots of beautiful, scenic photos! I have one more week of summer holidays now and then it’s time to get back into the routine of attending lectures and getting my head down. It may sound crazy to some, but if I’m being honest I don’t really mind going back to college as my days could do with a bit of structure again rather than the lazing around I’ve become accustomed to. I wonder will I be saying the same thing in a months time???

Moving onto the outfit now… I wore this Zara polka dot blouse and Topshop skort going out for dinner one of the nights during the holiday. I love wearing blouses as they look so chic and yet they are lightweight and breezy at the same time. Did I mention the 30 degree heat we got? Us Irish are not used to this kind of heat so light and airy clothes are essential! I paired the blouse with a burgundy skort as I love this colour combination. Finally my shoes are from Zara. I have to confess though, I didn’t realise that the streets in Paros would be quite so steep and cobbly so because we were walking to dinner I didn’t actually wear the heels. But hey they look good for the pictures ! Let me know what you think of this outfit in the comments below. That’s all for now but I’ll be back soon with my next post.

It’s been a while now since my last style icon post. Today all of the attention is on Sienna Miller and her fabulous flair for fashion. Miss Miller is one of those people who look good regardless of what she wears. From festival fields to the red carpet, Sienna knows how to dress for the occasion. In my opinion she is definitely well up there amongst the modern day style icons. That’s all for today. Talk soon!

Put a band on it

The headband trend is one that I have been meaning to try out for quite a while now. They are such a cool accessory, whether trying out the bohemian look or finishing off your festival outfit, they are the ideal choice. Also, if you’re having a bad hair day or just feeling a tad on the lazy side, throw a headband on and you’re hair will instantly look 100 times better! With the end of summer in sight ( tear…) I think it’s about time that I give the style a go. Luckily I still have a holiday to look forward to at the beginning of September so I’m thinking that will be my perfect opportunity.

P.S. I will post a picture of my look on my instagram account so be sure to follow me on my profile @stride_with_pride to get an inside look.

Talk soon,
